Outback Barbecues is thrilled to partner with Gatcombe Food Festival on 26th July. As part of its commitment to foster a love for outdoor cooking, Outback is proudly sponsoring the Children’s BBQ Competition, inspiring young grillers to showcase their skills.
Finalists will be invited to cook a burger dish to be judged by Mark Osborne, Director of Outback Barbecues and Mathew Shropshall and Ben Bartlett, Members of The Best of British BBQ Team.
Competition Rules
- Finalists will present two similar burger dishes and have 10 minutes preparation and 20 minutes cooking time.
- Finalists will be provided with an Outback Barbecue for cooking, a chef hat and apron to wear and a table to prepare their dishes.
- On the day finalists will receive 200g minced beef from Gatcombe Estate to use in their burger dishes.
- Finalists will receive a contribution of £20 towards their ingredients after the competition.
- Finalists will receive complimentary tickets for 2 accompanying adults to Gatcombe Food Festival on 26th July 2025.
- Finalists will be selected on 30th June 2025 and informed by email and telephone.
- Parents will be asked to sign a GDPR Compliant Photo/Filming and Recipe Consent Form.
- The judges decision is final.
Prizes
All finalists will receive a Signed Certificate and BBQ Hamper to include Outback Barbecue accessories.
The winner will receive an Outback Portable BBQ, Trophy, Signed Certificate and BBQ Hamper including Outback Barbecue accessories.
